Paige & Jared

Paige tells us more about their gorgeous Slipperfields wedding:

It was very DIY really. I made and designed our wedding invitations and ceremony leaflets. We spent months collecting vases for the table décor, along with other small items such as the bird cages, the cake topper, the small easels we painted for table numbers and the wooden leaflet box Jared and I bought on a road trip holiday. All the details were lovingly put together by family and special friends. My mom made the bouquets, the 2 beautiful large flower arrangements made by a family friend and the chalk boards, table flowers and boutennieres were made by many hands of family members. On the day the tables were completed by Jana from Slipperfields, who has such an eye for beautiful details.

We had sentimental elements, such as I had my gran’s ring tied to my bouquet as my “something old” and we named our 8 wedding guest tables after the names of our 4 sets of grandparents (all of whom have passed away and couldn’t share our special day).
The day could not have gone more perfectly. We had all the people we loved together under one roof, having a great time and celebrating our marriage with us. Highlights being walking down the aisle to a beaming husband-to-be, being declared husband and wife, my husband’s amazing Groom’s speech gave everyone a little lump in the throat and partying the night away (I don’t think we’ve ever had so much fun!)

Why did you choose Slipperfields as your wedding venue:

We loved the tranquillity of the venue’s location, the country feel which makes you feel a thousand miles from any city. We enjoyed the feeling of spaciousness with the beautiful pastures and Lady Slipper mountain backdrop, as well as the rustic nature of certain details such as the wooden wine barrels. The venue with its barn-feel of exposed beams and wooden floor fitted the rustic classic elegance we were going for.

How did you experience Slipperfields’ service on your wedding day:

Jana, Regardt and team went out of their way to make sure all the details were absolutely flawless for us on the day. We didn’t have to worry about a thing as I knew we were in the most capable hands and someone who really cared that everything went perfectly. Jana has an eye for detail and I loved that she understood the look we were going for and could just run with it. I couldn’t thank her enough.
